The Graduate School of Nano Convergence Engineering was established in 2002, the year after the nation's first nano fusion engineering department was established in 2001, and is growing into a world-class research-oriented department. It was selected as Brain Korea 21 (BK21) Phase 2 in 2006 and BK21 Phase 3 (BK21 PLUS) in 2013 and carried out the BK 21 Phase 4 (BK21 FOUR) for 14 years from September 2020, and has been selected again for 7 years, making it a leader in nano fusion field. Our department has advanced research equipment and educational facilities in semiconductor, energy and medicine fields, and consists of 12 excellent faculty members including one foreign full-time professor. Every year, we hold an International Symposium (ICTS) under the supervision of our department, and continue to expand students' internationalization capabilities by signing MOUs with the University of California (UCR), Hong Kong City University, and NIT University in India. Graduates are expanding into government-funded research institutes and public institutions, as well as large and medium-sized enterprises in semiconductors, LCDs and electronic devices, materials and components, and nanobio. Based on current state-of-the-art research equipment, we will continue to secure government-funded research and education projects, and will grow into a mecca for education and research in nano-convergence through human and material exchanges with industry and government research institutes.
