The Graduate School of Medical Engineering at Inje University was established in 1994 based on the Department of Medical Engineering at Inje University. Biomedical Engineering, which was unfamiliar with the term at the time, is a field of medicine and engineering convergence with great potential as a key industrial technology leading the future society such as the Fourth Industrial Revolution and artificial intelligence.

The medical engineering department of Inje University has produced more than 250 master's and doctorate degrees over the past 30 years, many of whom are experts in solving medical problems using advanced engineering technologies and are active in various fields at home and abroad. Our medical engineering department plays a central role in continuous joint research with five Inje University Paik Hospital as well as other university hospitals and in Gimhae Medical Life and Medical Device Kangso R&D Special Zone. A graduate course in the Department of Occupational Therapy was established in 2007 as a Master's program (MS). It has basic and clinical expertise and is trained to make scientific reasoning based on evidence. He conducts research under the guidance of a professor in his field of interest and publishes many papers in academic journals related to work therapy at home and abroad. Major research areas include neuroscience, child development, child and elderly occupational therapy, rehabilitation assistive engineering, etc.

The alumni of this graduate school have entered various fields and played a pivotal role in the development of work therapy and human resources development. After graduating from graduate school, he goes to Ph.D. or works as a teacher at a university, a researcher at a research institute, a rehabilitation hospital, and a work therapist at a rehabilitation institution.

Newly establishing master's program in graduate school in March 1990, the Department of Chemistry opened three fields of study: physical chemistry, organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, analytical chemistry, and biochemistry to produce researchers who can understand and apply various chemical knowledge. In March 1992, the Ph.D. program was newly established to develop talented people with the ability to conduct more in-depth research. While carrying out the BK21 project, it conducts research in various fields such as polymers, nanomaterials, catalysts, biological analysis, physiological activities and electronic materials, and graduates of this graduate school are engaged in various fields such as universities, state-run research institutes, hospitals, and pharmaceutical companies.
